How Liposuction, Abdominoplasty, and Brachioplasty Can Improve Your Summertime Look

Summer brings with it good weather and the opportunity for loads of fun, but wearing shorts, swim suits, and sleeveless dresses can bring with it some anxiety if you are not entirely happy with your appearance. Carmel Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons can help you look and feel better in your clothes with liposuction, abdominoplasty, or brachioplasty/armlift. To learn more, we invite you to read about each of these procedures.

Liposuction

Liposuction is the surgical removal of localized excess fatty tissue. Our surgeons perform tumescent liposuction which is injecting the area with a saline solution before removing the fat and UAL, or ultrasound assisted liposuction, which consists of liquefying the fat with energy from sound waves before suctioning the area.
Liposuction can be performed on multiple areas at the same time or in combination with another procedure. Liposuction can be performed on:

•Face
•Chin
•Neck
•Breast/Chest
•Back
•Abdomen
•Hips/Buttocks
•Thighs
•Calves

Following surgery, you can expect new contours, an improved appearance in your clothes, and an enhanced self-image.

Abdominoplasty/Tummy Tuck

An abdominoplasty, commonly known as a tummy tuck, removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen to help you achieve the flat and toned stomach you desire. Additionally, the procedure actually tightens the abdominal wall musculature. The procedure can correct one or more of the following conditions:

•Localized fat
•Loose skin and tissue
•Weakened abdominal muscles

Many of us desire a stomach that we do not have to camouflage through loose clothing or a slumped posture. We can help you achieve your goal of a flatter and tighter abdomen with a tummy tuck.

Brachioplasty

Brachioplasty is the medical term for an arm lift. An arm lift reduces excess skin and underlying fat that occurs between the underarm region and the elbow, reshaping the arm to result in smoother skin with more normal contours. The incision may extend from the underarm to the elbow or be more limited in length. Excess skin and fat are removed. Liposuction may also be utilized to give the upper arm a better contour.

Many individuals, particularly women, are unhappy when the underside of their upper arms develops sagging, droopy skin. Brachioplasty can help.
