Spring is a time of renewal and what a better way to start spring than to consider a little self renewal! At Carmel Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons located just north of Indianapolis in Carmel, IN, we offer a variety of non-invasive as well as surgical cosmetic procedures designed to rejuvenate and renew your appearance.
Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures
Ease yourself into spring and to your personal renewal by considering less invasive cosmetic options such as BOTOX® to rid yourself of fine facial lines or Juvéderm® to provide volume to your lips or to deeper nasolabial folds.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is Botulin toxin administered in a simple, non surgical procedure that temporarily improves the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between brows and along the forehead as well as fine lines around the eyes.
Very low doses are administered via a few tiny injections directly into muscles that cause fine facial lines. BOTOX® injections causes the facial muscles to relax. The procedure is quick and minimally invasive. No anesthesia is required.
There is no downtime after the BOTOX® procedure.Discomfort is minimal and brief. Results can be seen within days after your treatment. Visible results have been shown to last up to 4 months.
Juvéderm® is a cosmetic, dermal filler made of non animal based hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in human tissue and is of the major components of the connective tissue matrix, along with collagen and elastin.
Juvéderm® is administered through a series of injections. The procedure is minimally invasive and topical anesthesia is may be used to decrease discomfort. After treatment, some redness or swelling may last for up to 7 days.
The rejuvenating effects of Juvéderm® in Indianapolis or Carmel typically last up to 6 months.
Surgical Cosmetic Procedures
One of our most popular cosmetic procedures targeted to make you "beach ready" is breast augmentation with or without a breast lift or mastopexy. Breast augmentation will increase the fullness and projection of the breast such that it improves the overall balance in a woman's figure. The two main types of implants used for breast augmentation are saline and silicone gel. Saline implants are made of smooth silicone shells filled with a sterile saline solution. Should saline implants rupture or leak, the saline is safely absorbed by the body. Silicone gel implants are also made of smooth silicone shells, however, they are filled with a sterile silicone gel. Both types of implants have been approved by the FDA.
At your consultation, a variety of issues regarding the breast implants themselves will be discussed by your surgeon including the type of implant as well as its shape and size. The procedure including incision site (areolar, inframammary,or axillary) and position of the implants (submuscular or submammary) as well as the risks and benefits of the procedure will be reviewed. Next, you will be examined, measured, and photographed. Before and after pictures of previous patients who underwent breast augmentation are available at the office to look at during your appointment. You will be told what you can expect before, during, and after the procedure.
Also popular in preparation for swimsuit season is abdominoplasty or "tummy tuck". This procedure can help provide you with the flat abdomen we all desire. An abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightens the abdominal wall musculature. Although not a substitute for diet and weight loss, it will improve the overall contour of the abdomen.
Just need some improved body contouring? Liposuction may be the answer for you. Liposuction can slim or reshape specific areas of the body by removing localized or regional excess fat deposits.
